I just made some molasses-ginger cookies and my house smells like Christmas. The tree is all lit up and I can't wait for my niece to get here so we can eat cookies and sing Christmas songs!
Last night after Institute we played "Would You Rather" at the Treadwell's. It was so much fun! I had to spend about 10 minutes holding my tongue with my fingers, and I also got video of two of my friends doing a fanny dance to some song. I also have some freaky mental pictures do to Andrew and Audrey. What a fun game. Thanks guys! I love my friends!
This past week I also got to go out Visiting Teaching with my friend Erin, and deliver Christmas care packages with my mom. I am really enjoying the Christmas season, and spending time with friends and family. I hope it keeps getting better!
P.S. I also have to add that I got this "Purely Decadent" brand coconut-milk frozen dessert that is SO GOOD! I have been suffering from a lack of ice-cream do to my kidney-stone induced low-calcium/low-oxalate diet. Suffering over. MMmmm...

That's whatcha get...
So, I decided to go see a movie with a friend of mine on Saturday night. Once it was over, feeling like I had had a good evening with my friend, we parted ways and I went to my car to find this:

Yep, covered in egg. Raw egg, hard-boiled egg, and even syrup on the handles. GROSS. I was so mad. The first thing I did was pull out my camera. I guess it is a habit when it comes to people messing with my car. I went inside to ask if they had security cameras at the theater and ended up with a "no" and a roll of paper towels (not much help on frozen egg and syrup, but a nice thought.) I was so frustrated trying to get enough off my windshield to see out that I called my mom to complain, and she convinced me to call the police and file a report, just incase there was some damage I couldn't see in the dark.
Things actually got a bit cooler from that point. I was kinda nervous sitting alone at almost midnight in a dark parkinglot in my already-vandalized car waiting for the police to come, but when the officer came, he was checking my car out and he noticed my BYU-Idaho sticker and told me his wife went there. He was actually a member of my Church! He was in a different branch, but he knew a whole bunch of people I knew. Sometimes Heavenly Father lets you know he loves you in small and simple ways, sending you tender little mercies to remind you he is there and he cares about you... especially when you are having a hard time.
It was nice to get that little boost before heading to the 24-hour self serve carwash and power-washing frozen egg off my car until 1 am. Thank heavens my mom came to help me, it was quite a job.
Eurgh.

I <3 my crazy friends.
Last night was so fun!
I do not know of any other group of 21-28 year olds who can spend a friday evening playing spoons, murder in the dark, and duck duck goose (drinking nothing but water and OJ...) and still be having so much fun together at 2 am to all decide to drive 15 minutes away to someone else's house to watch a DVD!

First Blog
I am doing it. I am starting a blog. We will see if I can stick with this longer than the saxophone, cross-stitch, or Twitter. I just thought that this could be a fun place to share with the world all the little things that are on my mind-grapes. Right now, since it is Thanksgiving, I am thinking about what I am grateful for. There are so many people and blessings in my life that I am almost afraid to start naming them because I can't possibly name them all. I do not want to leave any out! I am so thankful for family, friends, safety, home, love, learning, books, food, fun, freedom, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so lucky to know who I am, where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I am so fortunate to have so much love around me and so many opportunities to learn and grow. I have so many loved ones to help me when I am stuck and forgive me when I mess up... and boy do I mess up sometimes! I have it good, and I am going to have to try harder to remember that when things get rough.
